Alain Riou has been observing cinema through his journalist’s eyes for over 40 years now. He worked for Nouvel Observateur, Masque et la plume, au Cercle, etc. Before working as a journalist, he studied cinema and directed many short films, including CUT (2005), which has been selected at many Festivals, such as Cannes, Los Angeles, Moscow and Pekin. Along with Renan Pollès, he also co-directed two low budget feature films, ELLE CRITIQUE TOUT ! (2003) and TOUS LES HOMMES SONT DES ROMANS (2007). He also wrote over ten comedies for TV as well as for cinema and three drama plays related to the seventh art.
